Hello dear crafting friends. What a busy week this is! I’m here with a card to share for The Shabby Tea Room challenge called ‘Winter Wonderland. It took under 15 minutes from start to finish and appears as though it took a lot longer, but that’s an illusion 
I reached for a stamp that’s a few years old and paired it with a technique that’s been around in the stamping world for at least ten years, probably longer. Stamping mirror images is so easy with just a piece of clear acetate. I save larger panels of acetate from supplies that have arrived encased in it, for a whole range of uses.
The image panel is glossy white. My first step was to mask the moon and it’s image below. Using a 1-1/4″ circle punch and temporary adhesive on the back of each circle, line the moon and it’s reflection up on the vertical axis and make certain the edges are firmly adhered. Using a finger dauber, I applied the light blue around the mask of the moon and irregularly through the rest of the sky. I repeated the same daubing on the reflected sky. You won’t need to be exact in adding this color in the reflection. Once that’s done, remove the two masks. The next step is to stamp the top image of the trees. Then I stamped the same image onto the acetate, flipped the acetate over so the ink is facing the panel and about one inch below the top image (and being careful to line it up with the top trees), press the acetate down to transfer the ink. If you’re working slowly and the ink has dried, just huff onto it to reactivate the ink with the moisture of your breath …
The finishing touches were made by dragging the edge of the dauber (with dark blue ink) between the two images, to emphasis the division of the landscape and the reflected image. The other finishing touch was to use a small paintbrush, dipped in water and to add some ripples in the reflection by pulling some of the ink horizontally. I used a Paper Sweeties stamp for the sentiment, saying, “Warm Winter Wishes”, from the set by the same name.
